I have spent most of my legal career assisting individuals and communities with litigation matters, including environmental issues and Aboriginal rights and title. I have represented clients in court and regulatory proceedings, and have appeared before British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, the Environmental Appeals Board, and the Canada Energy Regulator (formerly the National Energy Board).
My practice areas primarily include:
I joined Lyons Law Corporation in 2020 as a lawyer and office administrator, both serving clients directly and providing support to our other lawyers. I am happy to assist you with any of your legal issues.
I have an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University and attended law school at the University of Victoria. I was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2014. Prior to law school, I worked for the Yukon Department of Environment in the field of contaminated sites remediation. During the summer term, I teach a course on environmental law in the School of Environment and Sustainability at Royal Roads University.
I am passionate about plant-based cooking, and before joining Lyons Law Corporation I worked part time as a lawyer in private practice while cooking full time at a restaurant. In my free time I also enjoy vegetable gardening, fermentation projects, and playing board and roleplaying games with friends.
